Returns/Exchanges

Cancellations
Orders canceled after 48 hours are subject to a $20 administration fee, whether or not your order has shipped. If your order has shipped, you (the buyer) will also be responsible for actual return shipping charges. Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card that you use when placing your order.

Returns
If you are not satisfied with a product you have received, we offer a full refund, less shipping costs. We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.  Please note that gas generators that have had oil or gas put in them are not returnable under US regulations. Please inspect these extra carefully before fueling/oiling them.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package back to the manufacturer. Items returned to us without first requesting a return via email will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Please note that gas generators that have had fuel or oil put in them are not returnable under US regulations. Please inspect these extra carefully before fueling/oiling them.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. If you wish to make an exchange, please specify at the time of your return, and we will issue store credit when your return is accepted, which you can use to order your replacement item. 

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at support@traversegenerators.com.
